OUR MISSION


Jasmine Healthcare was founded by Chris Clark after he gained first-hand experience of care homes through personal family experience, where he had found the standards of accommodation and care offered to be poor. As a result, Chris passionately believes that many care homes for the elderly in England need to be improved. Consequently, Jasmine’s mission is:

OUR HOMES


Our homes are all original period properties with character, at the heart of the local communities which they serve. We endeavour to retain as many of the original features as we can, whilst sympathetically extending, modernising and refurbishing the buildings, to enhance the standard of living for all our residents.

This helps us to achieve, what we believe is the optimum size for a care home (40-50 residents), in terms of balancing the culture and community offered by them, with the facilities they offer. We also ensure that all of our homes, offer attractive private grounds, for the use of our residents and their visitors.

OUR AIMS


The specific aims of our mission are as follows:
  • For all our homes to have a team turnover rate of less than 30% per year
  • For over 50% of all our team to have a Diploma in Care Qualification
  • For all our homes to be rated Good or Outstanding by CQC and all other Regulatory bodies
  • For all our homes to have a Jasmine Compliance Score of over 85% at all times
  • For all our homes to have a www.carehomes.co.uk Rating of over 9.5 out of 10
  • For all our homes to be over 95% occupied, so that as many residents as possible can enjoy our high standards of care

Jasmine Healthcare provides a combination of nursing, residential and dementia care across its six homes. Our homes are all original period properties with character, at the heart of the local communities which they serve.

We are delighted to announce that Nightingale has achieved a 'Good' rating through an independent mock CQC inspection! 🎉

We are extremely proud of our whole team and the high standards of care we provide every single day.

🔎 What is a CQC inspection?

Every care home is inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure they meet legal standards, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and quality of care.

The inspection process evaluates services based on five key areas:

Safe: Are people protected from harm?
Effective: Does care achieve good outcomes for people?
Caring: Do staff treat people with dignity and kindness?
Responsive: Does the service meet people's needs?
Well-led: Is the leadership strong and supportive?

Based on the inspection, homes are rated Inadequate, Requires Improvement, Good, or Outstanding.

📝 What is a mock inspection and why do we do it?

A mock CQC inspection is a practice run of a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, carried out before the real inspectors visit. As with a real CQC inspection, the mock takes place unannounced.

A mock inspection is carried out by an independent provider, in this case Care4Quality, and is designed to test how inspection‑ready the home is and to highlight any areas for improvement. The inspector speaks with management, our teams, our residents and resident's families.

Jasmine ensures our homes are subject to mock inspections, to ensure our homes are always of the highest standard.

A mock inspection can help spot minor gaps or inconsistences that we can address quickly, help highlight areas where we can continue to improve, and great results raise our team members' confidence.

🟢Our Result

Following a surprise inspection on 28 April, we are delighted to receive a 'Good' inspection rating.

Our inspector confirmed that our home is well maintained, our residents well taken care of, and our team are happy!

This week is Dementia Awareness week 💚

To help raise awareness of dementia, we've been sharing information throughout the week about what dementia is, how to spot signs of dementia, the role person centred care plays in dementia care, and where to find support - including at Jasmine!

If you or a loved one has dementia, Jasmine Healthcare can support you by:

✅️ Advising on care and support needs
✅️ Providing respite care for short periods, helping to support carers when needed.
✅️ Providing long-term residential care for those with dementia who would benefit from 24/7 care among a friendly and warm community.
