We are committed to continuing our mission to provide the highest standards of care in our own homes and to improve elderly care across our industry.  Our goal is to make Jasmine the largest elderly care home operator, with the highest standards of care, in the East Midlands.

Improving existing Homes

To further enhance our existing homes, we have advanced plans to improve and expand four of them, having already commissioned detailed architect’s plans.  These plans are true to our belief that care homes should have no more than 50 residents, in order to balance the culture and community offered by them, with their operational efficiency.  All our plans are also consistent with our strategy to significantly improve the existing building, whilst retaining its character whenever we extend a home.  In addition, we will always continue to drive the standards of care and training at all our homes

Planned Acquisitions

To improve elderly care across our sector, we will only target and acquire poor performing care homes, that are in need of improvement.  Our homes must have character and a homely feel, and consequently the homes we acquire will usually be based around buildings of character, for example old vicarages and country houses.  We will retain as many of the original features as we can, whilst also selectively and sympathetically extending and modernising the buildings, to improve the standard of living for our residents.  It is also important that our homes have private grounds for the use of both our residents and their visitors.  We also want our residents to be as fully involved in local life, so we will always aim to locate our homes in the heart of the local communities which they serve.

Independent Living 

Jasmine Court, our development of independent living bungalows adjacent to Orchard Court, have been very well received and offer a unique, gentle transition to living in a care home, as a resident’s care needs increase.  We are keen to build on the success of our first independent living village, and have plans to build small further communities of independent living bungalows around two of our existing homes.  As we seek further homes to join the Jasmine group, we will actively seek homes which have the land to build independent living villages, without compromising the gardens they offer.
